Heather Rupp: Ph.D, CMT-P, RYT200
Picture
Heather joins her experience teaching Mindfulness with a physical Vinyasa practice to move heart, body, and mind into insight, healing, and beyond blockages. She believes the combination of the strong and fluid movement of Vinyasa with the awareness of Mindfulness offers a beautiful balance and experience for opening and growth.

Heather began her yoga practice 20 years with active Vinyasa classes. When she became ill in her early 30s and unable to practice in the intense physical manner she was used to, she deepened her practice (and herself) to incorporate more meditation into her life, lessening her focus on the physical benefits of the practice and appreciating the emotional and spiritual impact of a more Mindful approach. Now, although she is back to an active Vinyasa practice, she complements it with Mindfulness touch points and themed intention. Heather completed her 200-hour certification at Foundations Island Yoga (Kent Island, MD) with Frost. She received her Mindfulness teacher certification from the Mindfulness Training Institute (San Francisco, CA).

Colleen Morrison: RYT200
Colleen found yoga more than fifteen years ago as a way to release stress and anxiety. Over time, her asana practice led to a deeper connection to her community, her spirituality, and herself, and she was drawn to sharing that experience with others through teaching. Now, Colleen’s passionate about bringing the benefits of mind-body-spirit connections to a broader community. Her philosophy is that yoga benefits everyone, so she strives to teach classes that balance challenge with accessibility and loves bringing new yogis into the fold.

Colleen and her husband Chad moved to the Eastern Shore in July 2018 to better align their lives with their values, and now they happily reside in St. Michaels with their two sons. When she’s not teaching yoga, Colleen’s going for walks/runs through her neighborhood, leading a boutique communications agency, and/or spending time with family and friends.

Colleen teaches all levels with compassion, insight, and body awareness. Her calm and kind demeanor helps students of all levels feel comfortable and engaged in their practice. Colleen is a regular sub for in-studio classes and can be found online Sundays at 11 and in the online members studio.
